Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Pitcher from Baltimore, Maryland.
Dating to the mid-19th century, this pitcher features the Classic Form. From the top down are a tooled rim, tall neck, tooled shoulder, bulbous base, tooled footer, and brushed cobalt decoration. A squiggle line framed by comma vining adorns the spout, additional comma vining enhances the sides of the spout, and a floral with four blossoms graces the body. Additional cobalt at the handle terminals. Stands 12" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 1/4" chip with a 1/2" surface line along the top on the left side of the spout (closeup), a shallow 5/8" chip on the footer, and some light staining near the bottom. That's it! No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
