Item 5071
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this British Stoneware Tobacco Humidor.
A sticker on the bottom says it was once sold by the Wakefield-Scearce Galleries.
The humidor is shaped like an Elizabethan Cottage with Exposed Wood Beams and Thatched Roof on a Cobblestone Street. The bottom floor is a shop with two display windows and double doors. The top floor is the residence. Old cold paint finish. Measures 7" wide, 5 1/4" deep and 5 3/4" to the top of the chimneys.
Good Condition. The lid has two corners chipped on each chimney, a 1/4" flake and wear spots on the bottom edge of the roof, and a 2 1/4" chip on the seating ring on the underside. The base has a 1/4" flake on the back right edge, and a 1" chip on the front right corner of the cobblestone street. These imperfections are now mainly under the old cold paint. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration on either base or lid.
