Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Porcelain Humidor made and stamped by Schafer and Vater.  Their mark is an R within a Star topped by a Crown. 
 
This company was started by Gustav Schafer and Guenther Vater in 1890 in Thuringo, Germany.  Their porcelain was made from local clay high in kaolin which gave their pieces a fine, velvety feel as is characteristic of this one.  
 
This beauty features a Fancy Top and Bottom Border with a Cartouche of a Woman Serving Tea on one Side and a Woman Holding a Cone of Flowers on the Other.  A Young Girl and her Cat Grace the Lid.  The lid has a recess for a sponge (still in it) to moisten and keep the contents fresh.  Pink luster with applied gold trim finish. Fine detail.  Stands 6 1/2" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
