Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Lidded Jar made and signed below one handle by "Bayne, Maker, NC."  
 
This is the work of Michel Bayne of Lincolnton, North Carolina.   I personally consider Mr. Bayne to be the finest contemporary Southern potter. 
 
This beauty features an Ovoid Shape with Tooled Neck, Applied Handles, Footer, Lid, and Rich Ash Glaze in Brown, Green, and White.   Inspired by Edgefield Pottery.  Stands 12" to the top of the knob.  
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
