    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Wax Sealer Canning Jar that reads, "From McDonald & Benjamin, Cin. O."

     

    This beauty was made by McDonald and Benjamin in Cincinnati, Ohio about 1870.

     

    This little jar features a Tall and Narrow Form, Wax Sealer Rim, and the Company Advertising Stamped on the Front. Stands 9 3/4" tall.

     

    Comes from the collection of James L. Murphy.

     

    Good Condition. Six small chips inside the rim and two outside (1/8" to 1/4"), two short lines from the rim above the impressed pottery stamp (closeup), a faint 2" surface line on the left side, and a 1/4" chip at the base. No stains or restoration.
