    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful stoneware Mug.  It is signed on the bottom, "Bigmeat, Cherokee" and is the work of Louise Bigmeat Maney of the Cherokee Tribe of Murphy, North Carolina.


    The Bigmeat name is widely known for high-quality Cherokee pottery. Louise and her four sisters all learned pottery from their mother, Charlotte Welch Bigmeat.


    Dating to the last half of the 20th century, this beauty features Cherokee Letters and Designs all Around.  An impressed border of ovals graces the top and five rows of letters fills the side. Stands 3 1/2" tall.


    Very Good Condition.  Some glaze loss in a couple places on the rim, a 1/2" chip on the side of the handle, and two 3/8" chips at the base.  No hairilnes, cracks, stains, or restoration.
