    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "J. D. Craven".


    This is the work Jacob Dorris Craven (1827-1895) who worked with his family in Randolph County, North Carolina, and trained many southern potters including Manly Owen, Bryant Owens, and John Wesley Teague.     This beauty features a Tooled and Ribbed Rim, Wide Applied Handles, Pottery Stampe under one Handle, and a Green Alkaline Graze.  Measure 7" tall and 8" wide across the top. 


    Very Good Condition.  A 1/" chip under one handle and a chipping under one half of the other.  Minor nibbles around the base.  No rim chips, hairllines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
