Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware Lidded Salt Crock from England.  
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Basketweave Pattern, a Hinged Wooden Lid, and "GOD" Embossed on the Hanger.  Measures 6 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide across the bottom.
 
Excellent Condition.  The base has a 3/8" chip on the back bottom right corner and a pinhed-size nibble on the back of the hanger opening.  That's it!  No front chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid appears to be original.    A 1 1/2" drying line inside the front appears below the rim outside as a 7/8" line-- all in the making (closeups).
