Item 8050
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Lovely Stoneware Pitcher made and stamped on the shoulder by the "Beaumont Pottery, York, Maine" and scratched on the bottom with a cross and the initials JB.
This is the work of Jerry Beaumont, a contemporary master potter. In my experience, his work ranks supreme among the contemporary potters and is escalating in value. Beaumont worked in York in the 1980's.
This beauty features a 19th Century Form with Squared Rim, Pinched Spout, Tall Neck, Pottery Stamp, and Bulbous Base. Cobalt leaves decorate the spout and shoulders, while a farmer hand-plowing the field graces the front. Stands 11 1/8" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind.
