Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Folky 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made and stamped on the shoulder by the "Beaumont Bros. Pottery, S. Rucker, Crooksville, Ohio" and scratched on the bottom with the date 1994.  
 
This is the work of the pottery of Jerry Beaumont, a contemporary master potter.  In my experience, his work ranks supreme among the contemporary potters and is escalating in value.  
 
This beauty features an Attractive Jar Form, Pottery Stamp on the Shoulder, and a Folky Rooster Drawn with a Slip Cup.  The artist, S. Rucker, was clearly very skilled.  Stands 9 1/8" tall. 
 
The decoration harkens back to that used by the Braun pottery of Buffalo, N.Y. in the mid-to late 19th Century
