Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Pitcher made and inscribed on the bottom with a cross, the initials "JB" and "SL" and the date 1979.
 
This is the work of Jerry Beaumont whom I believe has been and continues to be one of the best contemporary potters in America today.  
 
This beauty features a Small Size; Classic Form with Tooled Rim, Pinched Spout, Tall and Sloping Neck, Tooled Shoulder, Bulbous Base, Flared Handle and a Bird on a Branch Decoration created with a Slip Cup.  Stands 8" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Two surface vertical drying/firing lines on the bottom in the back in the making (3/4", 1 1/2").
