Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 1/2 gallon Jar made in the pottery of Jerry Beaumont in York, Maine in 1985 as the cross and date on the bottom indicate.  The potter was "RB".

In my humble opinion, Mr. Beaumont has been and continues to be one of the best contemporary potters in America today.  His work from York, Maine was some of his finest.

This beauty features the Traditional Storage Jar Form with Canted Sides and a Gorgeous House with Smoke Coming from the Chimney and Surrounded by a Picket Fence.  Brilliant Cobalt.  Stands 6" tall.

The jar is heavier than most Beaumont pieces and just the right size and weight to be a utensil holder.  Fits perfectly in a farmhouse kitchen.

Comes from an extensive Massachusetts collection whose owner had personal ties to both the potter and the artist.  She gave me the privilege of buying this and many other Beaumont items (including the sign from the York, Maine pottery).

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
