Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Gallon Double-Handled Jug made by "J. Lambright, Newport."  
 
This is the work of John Lambright and Eli Westhafer who potted in Newport, Ohio in Tuscarawas County in the last half of the 19th century (F. Robert Treichler, A History of Northeast Ohio Stoneware, p. 107). 
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Double Handles, the Potter's Name and Location on One Side and a Flower Blossom with the Capacity Number "6" inside on the Other.  Comes with a fitting lid. Stands 19" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition. Some minor chips around the inner lid-seating ring.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has two chips on the outer edge (1/4", 1/2").
