Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 3 Gallon Decorated Stoneware Ovoid Jar from Northeast Ohio.
 
Circa 1850, this beauty features an Ovoid Shape with Tall Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Applied Handles, and a Huge Brushed Cobalt Capacity Number and Tulip Decoration.  The tulip has four leaves and a blossom with four petals.  Did I mention it was really huge!? Measures 12 1/2" tall and 10" wide across the top.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Three minor chips and two larger ones (1" each) inside the rim, two minor 1/4" chips outside the rim, some chipping under each handle, and a nearly invisible 4" vertical hairline on the back bottom (closeup).  No base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
