Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jug for the merchant, "J. A. Franz & Sons, Groceries and Liquors, Pomeroy, Ohio."
Circa 1880, this jug features a Small Size and Four Lines General Store Advertising. Stands 9 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. A minor nibble and two small chips on the left side of the spout (1/4", 3/8"), a 3/8" chip on the right shoulder, and some chippage on the back bottom edge. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
