Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Surrounding the Sprig of a Rose with Center Blossom.  Bright cobalt on a medium gray for strong contrast.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Good Condition.  A fine hairline on the bottom of the left side (closeup).  Otherwise, no chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
