Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Gallon Stoneware Crock whose decoration indicates that it was made in Jane Lew, West Virginia.
Circa 1875, this beauty features a Brushed Cobalt Flower made by Placing the 6 Capacity Number on Top of Two Leaves and a Stem as if it were the Blossom! A leaf on each side of the floral completes the decoration. Measures 15" tall and 12" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Three chips inside the rim (1/4", 3/4", 1 1/4"), a 3/4" chip on the bottom, and a 6" tight crack from the rim in the back (closeup). No outer rim chips, hairlines, stains, or restoration.
