Item 11839
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful early 3 Gallon Ovoid Jar made and stamped by "D. Goodale, Hartford."
This is the stamp of Daniel Goodale who ran the pottery in Hartford under this mark from 1825-1830 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 60).
This beauty features an Early Tall Ovoid Form, the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Cobalt Accents at the Handle Terminals. Stands 14 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 3/8" flake on the outside of the rim and three chips on the bottom edge/underside (1/4", 1/2", 1 1/2"). No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
I am hoping to look this good at 200 years old.
