Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 2 Gallon Stoneware Merchant Jar made for "E. R. McGugin, Stoves & Tinware, & C., Ravenswood, W. VA."
Circa 1880, this beauty was made in Southwestern, Pennsylvania (most likely by T. F. Reppert). It features Three Top and One Bottom Stripe that Frame the Company Advertising Accented by Leaves at the Top and a Stripe at the Bottom, as well as the Capacity Number flanked by Leaves. Stands 11 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/2" chip inside the rim and a 3/4" chip on the left side at the bottom. That's it! No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
