Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jug made for "Louis P. Frobe, Wines & Liquors, 1041 Market ST., Wheeling, W. VA."
 
This jug was made in SW Pennsylvania around 1880.  
 
This beauty features the More Uncommon 1/2 Gallon Size and Four Lines of Stenciled Wheeling Advertising.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A fine 1" line down the spout (closeup) and a 1/4" flake on the top of the handle.  No spout or base chips, body hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the upper right front and a clay flip on the back, some of which is on the underside-- both in the making.
