Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "Armstrong & Wentworth, Norwich."
 
This is the mark of Peleg Armstrong and Erastus Wentworth who worked in Norwich, Connecticut from 1814-1834 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 56).
 
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form with the Impressed Pottery Stamp Washed in Cobalt. Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Some staining from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A stone ping by the pottery stamp, and a chip with 1" surface line on the bottom edge in the making and glazed over (closeup).
