Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this beautiful 6 Gallon Stoneware Churn made and stamped by "D. Mooney, Ithaca, N.Y."
 
This is the work of Dennis Mooney who ran the pottery in Ithaca from 1862-1864 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 72). 
 
This beauty features a Large Churn Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and an Impressive Plant with Base Leaves and a Stem with a Bud and Four Blossoms.  Bright cobalt too!  Stands 18 1/2" tall.
 
Fair Condition.  A 3" hairline above the right handle (closeup 1).  Cracks on the back (closeup 2).  No chips or restoration.  
 
Displays well and would be worthy of restoration due to rarity and quality of the decoration should the buyer wish.
