Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made for "Cruikshank Bros. Co., Preserves, Jellies, Fruit Butters.  Allegheny, PA." 
 
Dating around 1900, this beauty features the Advertising in Four LInes within a Rectangular Border, a Shield with "Trade Mark" above, and the Original Handle.  Measures 8 1/2" tall and 9" wide across the bottom.  Once had a lid.
 
Excellent Condition.  Six chips on the inner seating ring where a lid sat (1/4" to 1/2"), a minor 1/8" chip inside the rim, two chips outside the rim (1/4", 3/8"), and light staining on the right side.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
