    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar with Freehand Decoration from Greensboro, Pennsylvania.  It is very likely a Hamiton and Jones product.

     

    Circa 1865, this beauty features Top to Bottom Freehand Decoration.  From the top down are a straight and wavy stripe, undulating comma vining, two center wavy stripes, the capacity number with graduated tornados on each side, and a bottom wavy and straignt stripe. Stands 11 1/2" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  A 5/8" chip on the bottom stripes to the right.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Some bubbles in the thickest part of the cobalt in the making.
