Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Pitcher.
Circa 1870 and hailing from the Northeast, this beauty features a Classic Form with Wide Rim, Pinched Spout, Slopping Neck, Tooled Shoulder and Bulbous Base. It sports a Cobalt Sprig with Dotted Stem Created by a Slip Cup. Stands 10 1/2" tall.
Good Condition. Two flakes inside the spout (1/4", 3/8"), three glaze chips outside the rim (1/2" to 3/4"), a small chip on top of the handle, and a faint craze line on the base. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A salt drip on the front bottom and a salt run on the right side in the making.
