Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Circa 1865, this beauty features a Finely Tooled Rim Framed by Two Straight Stripes and a Freehand Vine with Tulip Blossom Across the Body Framed by Wavy Stripes. The cobalt is rich and the contrast with the glaze strong. Measures 9 1/2" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. An 1/8" clay void between two petals in the making.
