Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "C. Tupper."
 
This is the mark of Chauncey Tupper who made pottery near Mogadore and Rootstown, Ohio in the mid-19th century  (F. Robert Treichler, A History of Northeast Ohio Stoneware, pp. 72-73).  
 
This beauty features a Tall and Narrow Form with the Capacity Number and Pottery Name
Stamped on the Shoulder and Washed in Cobalt.  Tupper did not decorate his pottery.  Stands 16 1/4" tall.
 
Comes from the collection of F. Robert Treichler that I purchased portions of this year.
 
Very Good Condition.  Staining from use.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
