Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this attractive Blue and White Spongeware 9" Plate made and stamped on the bottom by the "Burford Bros., E. L. O."
 
This is the mark off the Burford Brothers of East Liverpool, Ohio. 
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty sports the Distinctive Sponging of the Burford Factory.  Looks like Jackson Pollock got his inspiration here!  The glaze is partially marbled in the firing.  Pastel cobalt on a white background for strong eye appeal.  9" in diameter. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Moderate surface wear from use.  Otherwise as made.
