Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Blue and White Spongeware Shaving Mug in the Drape and Tassel Pattern.  It is also called the Fir Tree Pattern for the decoration's resemblance to upside down fir trees.
 
Dating around 1890 to 1910 any piece from this washbowl and pitcher set is uncommon.  
 
The shaving mug has a graceful form with bulbous and paneled body that narrows to a prominent footer, and a fancy handle.  It is decorated with an embossed drape with four tassels going all the way around that are accented with blue sponging.   Stands 3 3/4" tall.  
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
