• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler made "The Allen Germ-Proof Filter, Toledo, O."


    This an example of the fabulous blue and gray molded stoneware made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y between 1890 and 1907 (Christopher Bensch, The Blue and the Gray: Oneida County Stoneware).


    This beauty features an hourglass shape with beaded border and fancy leaves coming down from the top and a blue stripe and fancy scrolls coming up from the bottom.   Floral pillars frame the center panels and the company name is set in a fancy label on the shoulder.  All embossed decoration is highlighted in cobalt.  Stands 13 1/2" tall. 


    Excellent Condition.  A short hairline from the rim on the left side, 3" inside and 2" outside (closeups).  That's it!  No chips, stains, or restoration.
