Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 9" Wax Sealer Canning Jar with Freehand Decoration.
The light gray clay, tapered form, and decoration indicate that this jar was likely made at the Boughner Pottery in Greensboro, Pennsylvania.
Circa 1860, this beauty features Tooled and Narrow Rim, Tapered Sides, and a Brushed Cobalt Leave in Bright Cobalt. Stands 9" tall.
Very Good Condition. Restoration for a 1/2" chip on the rim on the right side and a 1/2" hole at the base below it. No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or stains.
