Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Impressed 1 Gallon Jug made for "T. Weddle & Sons, Manufacturers of Linseed Oil.  Dealers in Paints, Glass, Shelf Hardware.  Front St., Rochester." 
 
Dating around 1850, this beauty features 7 Impressed Lines of Advertising with Cobalt Wash.  We just love the early advertising with such a close view of history!   Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A small surface ping on the left side center as shown, and a single stain run on the back.  That's it!  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A kiln contact mark below the advertising and on the right side in the making.
