Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "M. Crafts & Co., Whately."
 
This is the work of Martin Crafts who potted in the family pottery in Whately, Massachusetts from 1857 to 1861 when it closed (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 53).
 
This beauty features an Ovoid Shape, and Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash.  Stands 11" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Flat flakes on top of the spout and staining from use.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
