Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 1/2 Gallon Tanware Jug made for the merchant, "J. A. Franz, Groceries and Liquors, Pomroy, Ohio." [Pomeroy is misspelled]
The jug was made in New Geneva, Pennsylvania in the 1880's.
This beauty features an Arched Label in 4 Lines. Stands 9 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some glaze wear and a 3/8" chip on the left side of the spout, and a 1/4" chip on the bottom. That's it! No hairline, cracks, stains, or restoration.
