Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 4 Gallon Jar that reads, "From T. Anderson, Anderson's Landing, W. VA."  
 
Anderson's Landing was a boat stop on the Gauley River in Southern West Virginia. 
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features a Larger Size, Applied Handles with Cobalt Accent at the Terminals, and Top to Bottom Decoration include a Stripe at the Rim, Capacity Number framed by Dashes, the Company Advertising Surrounding a Floral, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip Vine with a Blossom Four Lines of Stenciled Advertising.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A narrow 1" chip inside the rim.   That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  
 
The largest piece of stoneware from this maker that I have ever seen.
