Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Semi-Ovoid Jar with Garland of Tulips

The jar's form and decoration make it easy to attribute to David Parr who made stoneware in Baltimore, Maryland from 1815 to 1855 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).

This beauty features a Squared Rim, Applied Handles, and a Garland of Brushed Cobalt Tulips Around the Middle.  The cobalt used is spectacular and forms a pleasing contrast with the light gray glaze. Stands 12 3/4 tall.

Excellent Condition.   A shallow 3/4" chip on one handle and a 3/8" chip on the underside at the edge.  series of small chips around the rim, a 1/2" chip under one handle, and some narrow chips around the footer as shown.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.   Scattered light surface glaze craze lines inside and out from the quality of clay used (closeups).
