Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made for "The Geo. W. Umbach Company, Wholesale Liquors, Hanover & Perry Sts., Baltimore, MD."
It bears the stamp "Sherwood Bros. Pottery, New Brighton, PA." The stamp is very readable, I just cannot capture it in the picture.
Dating around 1900-1920, this beauty features Five Lines of Advertising in a Rectangular Frame. Stands 14" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some staining in the back and bottom from use. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
