Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for "The Golden Gate Co., Growers and Distillers of Foreign and Domestic Wines and Liquors, 302 Exchange Place, Baltimore, MD."

 

This jug was probably made by the Sherwood Pottery of New Brighton, Pennsylvania.

 

Dating between 1900 and 1920, this beauty features Six Lines of Advertising in a Rectangular Frame. The advertising is strong and crisp. Stands 11 3/4" tall.

 

Excellent Condition. A 3/8" by 1/2" chip on the bottom of the left side. That's it! No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Two short vertical 1 1/2" lines at the base that are firing lines in the making.
