Item 11733
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Jar with Tulip Garland.
The jar's form and decoration make it easy to attribute to David Parr who made stoneware in Baltimore, Maryland from 1815 to 1855 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).
This beauty features a Slightly Ovoid Jar Form, Squared Rim, Hooded Handles with Cobalt Accents, and a Brushed Cobalt Garland of Tulips on Each Side. All the cobalt is dark and bright on a light gray clay to provide a pleasing contrast. Stands 11 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/8" nibble on the base. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
