Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "Sipe, Nichols & Co., Williamsport, PA."
 
This is the stamp of William Sipe, Joe Nichols, and Abram Young who ran the pottery on Market Street from 1875-1879 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 62-63).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Spectacular Brushed Cobalt Floral Incorporating Two Types of Leaves and Two Types of Blossoms.  The decoration fills the front with color and movement.  Stands 14" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 3/8" chip below the decoration and some minor exfoliation on the back bottom and underside.  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
