Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made and stamped by "P. Hermann."
This is the stamp of Peter Hermann who made pottery on Eager Street in Baltimore from 1850-1872 (William Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 98).
This beauty features a Strong Pottery Stamp and Two Freehand Flowers, each with a Stem with Four Leaves and a Double Blossom with Six Petals. Bright Cobalt. Stands 10 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A faint surface-only craze line (closeup). That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
