Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Jug made for "Shaefer & Driehorst Co., Wines & Liquors, 1428 Main St., Wheeling, W.VA." 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Capacity Number Flanked by Wings and 4 Lines of Stenciled Advertising with Accents. Stands 14" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  A 3/4" chip on each side of the spout and Two chips and a hairline through the top of the handle (closeup).  No base chips, body hairlines or cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some variation in the color of the glaze in the making.
