Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Canning Jar made by "Richey & Hamilton, Palatine, W. VA ."
 
Richey and Hamilton made pottery in Palatine (modern Fairmont) from around 1870-1890 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 100).
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features a Tooled Rim and the Company Advertising Surrounding a Detailed Floral and Accented by Leaves at the Bottom.  Stands 8" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made. No damage of any kind.  Mottled glaze in the making.
