Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar with 3 Stripes.
 
The color and decoration indicate that it was made in Palatine, West Virginia about 1880 (modern Fairmont).
 
This beauty features a Finely Tooled Rim and Shoulder, and Three Wavy Brushed Cobalt Stripes Down the Front.  Pretty cobalt against a warm gray glaze.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles and a 1/2" chip on the inner rim and a small stain on the back. That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
