Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Wax Sealer made and stenciled by the "Palatine Pottery Co., Palatine, W.VA." (Modern Fairmont)
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim that Facilitates Tying a Cover Over the Top, Light Gray Glaze, and the Company Stencil Surrounding a Large Pear.  Obviously used to can pears! (bright huh!).   Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
Good Condition.  Chips around the rim, a 3" hairline from the rim in the back (closeup), and a line across the bottom not seen inside.  No base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
