Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 12 Gallon Stoneware Merchant Jug made for "M. L. Jackson, Wholesale and Retail Whiskies. Estab. 1853.  1001 Hillen Street, Baltimore, MD." 
 
The jug was very likely made by the Sherwood Brothers of New Brighton, Pennsylvania.
 
Dating between 1900 and 1920, this beauty features the Merchant Advertising in 6 Lines within a Rectangular Label.  The stencil is complete and sharp.  Stands 8 3/4" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Typical manufacturing flaws.
