Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Vase made and Signed on the Bottom by "John Meaders, Cleveland, Ga." MLM

 

John Meaders was the grandson of John Milton Meaders who established the kiln in Cleveland, Tennessee in 1893 (John Burrison, Brothers in Clay: The Story of Georgia Folk Pottery, pp. 257-259). He potted in the late 20th century.

 

This beauty features a Cluster of 19 Grapes dangling from a Vine with Two Leaves on each side.  Green Alkaline Glaze.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.

 

Excellent Condition. One small scratch between grape clusters.  Otherwise, as made.
