Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made for "John Downey, Wholesale Dealer in Groceries, Wines & Liquors.  No. 133 Franklin St." [Baltimore].
 
Not a common jug-- only one other is found on the internet.
 
Dating around 1870, this beauty features 5 Lines of Impressed Advertising with Cobalt Wash.   Tall "bullet" shape. Stands 13 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  An 1/8" nibble on the back of the spout and a 1/4" chip near the top of the handle.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
