Item 5749
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Pot.
From what the previous owner told me, it is a late 19th century product of the Mulder pottery in Wetumpka, Alabama. This family is discussed in Alabama Folk Pottery by Joey Brackner, pp. 92-95, 243-244.
This beauty features a Semi-Squared Rim with Slightly Tapered Sides, Footer, and Multi-Colored Alkakine Glaze. Measures 5 3/4" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Three minor 1/8" nibbles inside the rim, minor nibbles around the base edge, and a chip on the underside center. No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
