Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug from "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Nestled in a Patriotic Shield Topped by Stars and Supported by a Floral Garland.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Three small chips on the spout (1/8" to 3/8"). A 3" vertical surface line on the back bottom that wraps under to a 2 1/2" surface line (closeups.  none visible inside).  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
